CAMP DETAILS

O-Town Hockey Camp is hosted at the Ice Factory in sunny Orlando, Florida, approximately 25 minutes from Universal Orlando Resort.

2026 camp dates are from June 22nd to June 25th.

Skates hit the ice at 8 am.

O-Town Hockey Camp is open to 2012–2019 birth years.

O-Town Hockey Camp is for intermediate to advanced players, and is not intended for beginners or learn-to-play players.

Yes. Campers will have a 45 minute off-ice session each day to improve flexibility, conditioning, speed, and power.

No. O-Town Hockey Camp does not provide transportation between Universal Orlando Resort and the Ice Factory.

Universal does provide various modes of transportation around the resort, including shuttles and ferries.

All campers will receive an O-Town backpack, O-Town t-shirt, and an O-Town hat, all provided by True Hockey. They will also receive complementary Biosteel, Howie’s Hockey Tape, and O-Town commemorative pucks and water bottles. 

Hotels & Park Tickets

Each camper will be provided with one Complimentary 2-day, 2-park pass to Universal Orlando Resort. Plus, a Complimentary 1-day pass to Epic Universe.​

Hotel rooms and additional tickets for the whole family are not included, but can be purchased directly through Universal Orlando with O-Town Hockey Camp’s exclusive discount. An email with links to each will be sent after registration.

Family tickets can be picked up at will call at the front of any Universal theme park, but can also be mailed if requested. These options are available upon purchasing your tickets from Universal.

All complimentary campers’ tickets must be picked up at will call by an adult at least 18 years of age. Photo ID is required.

O-Town Hockey Camp offers a discounted rate at Cabana Bay Resort or Hard Rock Hotel.

Universal Orlando Resort has many hotels to choose from, but only Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort or Hard Rock Hotel are available with the O-Town Discount.

Additionally, Universal has several partner hotels in the area that are off-property, but most offer shuttles to the theme parks.

All 2-Day 2-Park tickets allow guests to move from park to park as they please. They are good for unlimited entry and exit, but are limited to two days of use. Days do not have to be consecutive, so you can make your vacation whatever you’d like it to be! Epic Universe tickets will be for a designated “O-Town Hockey” day at the park, details to follow.

Hockey Camps & Vacations

Pack as you would for any sunny vacation. Swimsuits, light clothing, etc. Remember, summers are HOT in Orlando!

And of course, don’t forget your hockey equipment!

Never underestimate how much walking you’ll do at a theme park. Make sure your camper has comfortable walking/running shoes or sandals to wear. Blisters are a real and present danger!

Jordan Pearce

Former Professional Goalie

A product of the US National Program, Jordan Pearce brings a wealth of knowledge to the O-Town staff. Pearce signed an NHL contract with the Detroit Red Wings after a stellar senior year at the University of Notre Dame in which he posted a 1.67 GAA and .931 save percentage on his way to receiving an NCAA Senior Class 1st Team All-American Accolade. He capped his career off as a member of the 2013 Calder Cup champion Grand Rapids Griffins.

Matt Schwartz

Professional Skills Coach

Matt played NCAA Division 1 hockey for two years at Bentley University and ACHA Division 1 hockey for two years at Penn State University. He was the pro skills instructor for Quest Hockey for 10+ years, training youth, junior, college, and pro hockey players. 

Marianne Watkins

NHL Power Skating Coach

One of the most respected and renowned power skating coaches in the world, Marianne has over 35 years of power skating experience.  Marianne has been a power skating consultant for five NHL teams – the Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Steve Oleksy

Special Guest Coach

Steve skated in over 750 professional hockey games across the NHL, AHL, ECHL, UHL and EBEL, becoming a Stanley Cup champion in 2016 with the Pittsburgh Penguins. A three year letterman at Lake Superior State University, Steve was a mainstay on the blue line, dressing in 113 games for the Lakers.

 

Erik Condra

Former NHL Player

Erik played NCAA Division 1 hockey for the University of Notre Dame, and professional hockey in the NHL & AHL from 2009–2020. His career included stints with the Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Dallas Stars, and a Calder Cup championship with the Binghamton Senators.

Christian Hanson

Former NHL Player

Christian played NCAA Division 1 hockey for 4 years for the University of Notre Dame. He went on to play professional hockey in the NHL & AHL for 7 years, including time with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2009–2011. He also represented Team USA in the 2010 World Championships.

Michael Sprouls

Goaltending Coach

Michael played goaltender since the age of 6, including a year of Junior C, two years of Junior B, and two years of Division III college hockey at the University of Central Florida. He has over 8 years experience as a goaltending coach.

Kenny McCudden

Washington Capitals Coach

Kenny McCudden is considered a pioneer of the ever-expanding skills development movement at the NHL level. In his second year with the Washington Capitals, he spent eight years in Columbus with the Blue Jackets and 16 with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.
